Plastic free and hand built in Scotland, the new Aergrind has been upgraded to be stronger, longer lasting and more refined that its predecessor.

Key technical features start with 38mm titanium nitrided conical burrs for competition level grind consistency and a step up in burr class. Inside the grinder, we’ve increased the axle bearing length by 100% to provide even greater stability and improved alignment. The refreshed profile of the crank arm is now 20% thicker at 3mm.

The design refinements continue with a move away from plastic to a larger, walnut wood knob; a snap-on magnetic lid with laser etched precision aluminium dial; and a custom threaded “screw on” lower tube, profiled to provide a controlled pour for your precious coffee grounds.

But most importantly some things have not changed – the Aergrind is still designed to partner perfectly with the Aeropress, packing into the body of the brewer, with a crank arm and band that fit compactly around the body for the ultimate portable brew kits.

Italmill still powers the grind and it remains a supremely capable turkish and espresso tool thanks to the unique profile of these time-proven classic burrs.

Unlike other manual grinders where the grind adjustment is on the burrs, the Aergrind has a dial at the top of the grinder. This makes changing the grind easy and clean as your fingers don’t get covered in coffee.

Instead of using pre-set clicks, the grind adjustment is stepless which means that you have unlimited options on where to set your grind, giving you the best chance to maximise the flavour of your coffee.

All Aergrinds come with a spare black Aergrind band.

Knock

Knock was founded in 2010 in Edinburgh, Scotland by friends Peter Kilpatrick and Dr. Uwe Stein where a shared passion for coffee, design and engineering led to the establishment of a small business offering a range of precision, handmade coffee tools. Working with local machinists and wood tuners it wasn’t long before their range of commercial grade coffee tampers were seen in the hands of baristas in many specialty coffee bars across the UK.

In 2013, a long-planned move to manual coffee grinders followed. This is where the class-leading Hausgrind and Feldgrind models first became known and quickly earned a reputation as one of the best built and most innovative hand grinders in the market. In 2017 the Aergrind was born, going on to become one of the best quality and well-known compact coffee grinders in the world.

Fast forward to 2022 and the company has grown to a team of dedicated coffee professionals working hard to develop, design and build high quality coffee grinders and coffee accessories that are prized worldwide for their consistency, durability and value. Everything is still designed and hand built in Edinburgh.
