A slowly roasted green tea that has minimal caffeine and an earthy and sweet taste that’s perfect for any time of day.
Despite its auburn complexion, Hojicha is indeed a member of the green tea family. Its unique hue is achieved by slowly and expertly dry roasting fresh tea leaves. This process coaxes out new flavors and aromas like vanilla and barley and has the added benefit of greatly decreasing caffeine levels.
What to expect from Hojicha: A dry, hazel-colored tea that yields a dark amber cup with nutty aromas and a slightly sweet taste with nearly no bitterness or caffeine.
