A green tea cultivar known for its delicate aroma and creamy texture paired with the bright and vegetal qualities of a high-quality sencha.
Kanayamidori is a premium sencha that showcases the kanayamidori cultivar (there are over 100 Japanese tea varieties) and the unique growing conditions of Kirishima, Japan. Kirishima’s constant sea breeze and volcanic soil lend this tea a bright and refreshing flavor that pairs well with the trademark creamy texture of kanayamidori.
What to expect from Kanayamidori: Dark green and glossy tea leaves that, when brewed, make for a refreshing cup with notes of lemon basil and kombu and a smooth finish.
