A 1 litre glass pouring jug form Sebastian Bergne which resembles a water droplet. The jug’s design is very practical as well as aesthetically pleasing, with an open neck and easily grippable shape which makes it ideal for serving wine to guests. It comes with a short tumbler glass which can sit playfully on top of the jug when not in use.
This jug is made out of heat resistant borosilicate glass, meaning that it can be used for both hot and cold liquids, a nice touch which makes it even more unique.
“There’s always another way of doing it, and there’s always another way of doing it better than it’s been done before.” – Sebastian Bergne is a designer based in London, in the UK. His designs are easily recognisable for how they play with convention. Bergne creates everyday household objects which do not look like everyday household objects, and seeks to find ways to reinvent everyday appliances into something new, interesting, and desirable.
Bergne has been designing since 1990, when he founded his design studio as a graduate from the Royal College of Art. His work has since gone on to be featured in many prestigious publications and even museums such as New York’s Museum of Modern Art. Bergne is a good example of someone who is never satisfied with convention, and is continually reshaping the ordinary with his vivid imagination and design talent.
