These handmade ceramic espresso cups crafted by independent ceramicist Stine Dulong of SkandiHus are a Mygodshot exclusive design. Building on a classic style with a vibrant spotted glaze and a signature slash of orange, these cups create a playful twist on tradition. They are sure to spark conversation.
Stine is so passionate about ceramics that she quit her day-job as a lawyer in order to pursue a career as a full-time ceramicist. When she isn’t making ceramic homeware like these cups, she is teaching other people how to get off the ground with ceramic art in instructional classes in the hopes that she can inspire other people to connect with the power of creativity.
Having worked in a high-pace environment for a number of years, Stine believes that stress is as much a choice as winding down. With her ceramic collection Stine believes she can inspire people to take time out of their lives for themselves once in a while. Her homeware comes with the intent to inspire big hearts and big smiles, and in its simplicity suggests that the measure of happiness is in the warmth of the human spirit. These cups are designed to inspire conversation among friends, the sharing of a moment with a loved one, or a sense of peace on a Sunday morning.
Dulong’s ceramics have been featured by newspapers such as Metro and even by famous faces like Jamie Oliver as examples of the elegance and uniqueness of independent ceramic art, and praised for their “hyggeligt” qualities. We chose them for our shop because Stine’s story is a journey to discover belonging. With our Roots & Belonging collection we want to inspire people to reconnect with their home, and Stine’s cups remind us of the quiet virtue of self-preservation.
