Soft Floral
Soft floral differ from floral fragrances in that they are generally less like bountiful gardens, and more like a small, delicate bouquet. These fragrances almost always have powdery or sparkly feeling to them, which is often result of aldehyde – an organic compound derived from citrus and rose.

French for ‘lost at heart’, this is a fragrance of longing a forbidden love, like that of the love between Count d’Orsay and Lady Blessington. Between the first glance and the moment star-crossed lovers can lay together, there is an interval that seems to last an eternity. This fragrance hides its truth from the undiscerning, opening with orange blossom, iris, and freshly cleaned sheets. It rushes into a heated base of ambroxan, moss and cashmeran. Each drop is a guilty pleasure, conveniently above all suspicions.

Like a lotus spreading its petals, Zoologist Dragonfly opens with a rush of beautiful aquatic florals. Hints of rice, powdery iris, and mimosa diffuse from within a lush shroud of green, beneath the intimate aroma of an imminent summer shower. Dragonfly encapsulates the richness and romance of impressionism, a canvas of florals under a watery veil.

Kimono is a poetic tribute to the elegance of the geisha, draped in the flowing grace of a silk kimono. Magnolia petals evoke delicate beauty, while rice flour reflects the soft powder of their makeup. The rustle of silk lingers, and a touch of crimson lipstick adds quiet allure. A fragrance of timeless grace and sophistication.

A Chypré structure presents an animalic facet that makes this fragrance seductive and intense as well as sophisticated and somehow vintage.

A sensual, full-volume jasmine pushed to extreme. Creamy, narcotic, and intimate, Jasmine Freak turns a classic floral into a hypnotic force: lush, glimmering, and impossible to ignore.

Unspoken Musk is my personal musk, and in the olfactory map it’s located in a region closer to humanity and sensuality. It is an Emotional Musk, since it almost generates a physical reaction whilst you’re experiencing your deepest emotions. Sweet, velvety, persuasive, dirty, flowery, human; innocent and sinful at the same time, musk represents the dichotomy that defines the human being.
-
The double nature of any human being: longing to perfection, innocence, absence of mistake, to a place uncontaminated by sin from one side, and the inevitable fallibility and impossibility of amending mistakes. The combination of white florals and animalic facets represents this dichotomy, as an invitation to accept both idealism and imperfection as a very specific human feature.

On the radio, the maudlin pop song is cut short by an emergency report: a motorcycle crash on some highway that barely exists in his mind. The man thinks back to his first love, glancing at the “borrowed” jacket that still hangs on the back of his door—it couldn’t be that boy, he thinks. That boy gave up his motorcycle decades ago. Last the man heard, he was in the army. Before the man can think a half-baked prayer for the fallen driver, the pop song starts up again, so instead, he starts to sing along.

Ami Amie opens with a smooth yet sultry fruity tone. The plum and raspberry create a perfect balance, and the sweetness from the floral notes comes out to create more complexity before the spice and woody notes give a further layer. There is a fine balance in the composition that allows all of the notes to have their moment.11% OFF
