The Organic Company
Founded by Joy Vasiljev in 2007, The Organic Company designs and produces various organic textiles for the home, including textiles for the bath, kitchen, travel and meditation. From time to time, the products are co-deigned with selected Danish designers. At the heart of the company is a clear mission of proving that a responsible business is good business.
All products are made of organic cotton and certified with the international organic standard GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard). This standard focuses on 2 major areas; environment and social responsibility, and guarantees that all fabrics are free from toxins and heavy metals, and international workers rights are respected. The Organic Company now produces more than 200 different products and exports to more than 26 countries.
Today, Joy is an important voice in the debate on organic lifestyle, environment and sustainability. She teaches and gives speeches in order to open people’s eyes to the fact that there are different and better ways of doing things.
