Kalm Studio

Calm – in Dutch written with a “K”. Calm… order, peace, rest, the opposite of chaos, thoughtful, no fuss, at ease… kalm. Kalm is the personality of us and our brand, and more importantly, the appearance of the products we want to offer.

Flore and Michiel are lovers, twenty-something, and the heart and soul of Kalm. Driven by their mutual passion for beautiful design, they decided to show their work to the world and started Kalm. They make up the perfect team given that they have the same vision and ambition, but complementary skills.

Michiel is a dreamer who is capable of bringing ideas to reality. He tries to create products that have a genuine impact on people’s lifes. The ability to create a concept and follow it through all the way to the final production is a feeling like no other. He loves the simple things in life and tries to show this in his work. His designs are very minimal and clean but thoughtful.

While Michiel is the creative genius, Flore takes care of the business side of things. She graduated as a business engineer and loves to bring a good idea to life. She takes the lead, is a great organiser, and loves the financial and logistic side of the business. On top of this, she always goes the extra mile to create superior customer service.
