LSA
Janusz Lubkowski co-founded LSA International in 1960s London during a period of cultural and social change. His belief in a diversity of ideas and passion for contemporary design ensured the company thrived. His daughter, Monika Lubkowska-Jonas, is LSA’s Designer & Creative Director. Through shared experience and values, Monika continues to develop her father’s vision and a culture of understanding that defines the company’s past, present and future.
A classic enamelled coffee pot was the first LSA product, sold at Terence Conran’s Habitat in 1966. The collection has since evolved and continues to do so, with handcrafted products from a range of materials, including glass, wood & porcelain. Many LSA products are internationally recognised, and they have won awards including the iF design award, Design Plus award, Good Design award, and the Green Good Design award.
LSA designs timeless tableware & homeware, and it is by this philosophy that they company fulfil their sustainability promise. By designing lasting, considered products, people are encouraged to make sustainable choices: buying less and owning for longer. The company designed a range in partnership with the Eden project – ‘Canopy’ is a collection of handmade, recycled glass products. Centred around the concepts of hydration and propagation Canopy addresses environmental concerns around single-use plastics, water conservation and plant preservation.
