Laboratory Perfumes is a firm favourite in the fragrance industry. Creating androgynous perfumes was a promising concept, and with its gender-free packaging and correlating candles, the theory is a clear success.

A scientific approach is taken towards the blending of natural oils to create sustainable aromas free of all harmful chemicals and processes, inspired by the brand's single overriding inspiration – the great outdoors.

Laboratory Perfumes fragrances are inspired by nature and travel. They adapt to the wearer & evolve over the course of the day.

Taking inspiration from the flora of the English countryside, Laboratory Perfumes created five clean, pure and modern unisex fragrances, evocative of nature. The plain brown recyclable packaging reflects the company’s love of simplicity, but the fragrances are complex and evolve on the skin. The elegant, clear glass bottles recall the origins of a traditional perfumer’s laboratory.

GORSE

Gorse opens with a fresh hit of crisp citrus and smooth coconut, before maturing into a heady wrap of spiced cardamom. It’s the olfactory embodiment of sun-warmed skin and lazy summer evenings.

Our second scent owes its existence to a gorse-lined driveway in Provence. Captivated by the coconut-infused air surrounding the yellow flowers of the gorse bushes, we set about creating a scent that captured the essence of summer in the countryside.

The result is a fresh, crisp fragrance that transports the wearer to sun-kissed heathlands along the coast. Opening with invigorating top note of citrus, and of course, the delightful coconut hit of the gorse flower, the scent is given a spicy depth by the suggestion of cardamom beneath.
