Fabienne Bourhis carries the rare distinction of being born on one island and shaped by several more. Raised in Martinique before establishing herself professionally in France, she trained at ISIPCA, the Versailles-based perfumery school that has produced some of the industry's most exacting talents. Her early career unfolded at MANE, the family-owned French fragrance house headquartered in Le Bar-sur-Loup, where she spent years moving from bench perfumer to Technical Director for the Fragrance division, a role she held from 2017 through early 2024.

More recently, she has taken on the title of Fragrance Creation Director at MANE, operating at times from Jakarta and other regional hubs, which speaks to the increasingly global nature of modern perfumery. Her recent relocation to South Africa adds another chapter to a life defined by geographic reinvention. She has described herself as a 'senior perfumer' with roughly twenty-six years in the field, a tenure that places her comfortably among the most experienced independent voices in contemporary fragrance creation.
