EAUSO VERT is a luxury fragrance house founded by former Estée Lauder executives, Tanya Gonzalez and Faye Harris. With bases in San Francisco and London, the duo launched the brand in 2022 with a clear mission: to marry high-end craftsmanship with transparency, sustainability, and conscious innovation. They wanted to create fragrances that not only delight the senses but also respect the world from which they are drawn.
Both Gonzalez and Harris bring deep expertise from the beauty industry. Gonzalez, based in San Francisco, has a background in marketing and brand development, with a focus on storytelling and customer connection. Harris, based in London, has specialised in product strategy and operations, honing her skills in creating and scaling global launches. Together, they combined their complementary strengths to establish EAUSO VERT, driven by a shared passion for fragrance and a belief that the luxury market needed a new, more responsible voice.
Spanish for ‘Heritage,’ Herencia honours ingredients and traditions pioneered by Latin communities yet rarely expressed in fine fragrance. Proof that varied traditions aren’t just worth exploring—they’re essential to the evolution of luxury fragrance.
Contains 1.5ml of Dos Mil Años, Fruto Oscuro, and Salvia Salvia.
Deep in Oaxaca’s sacred valley stands El Árbol del Tule—an ahuehuete (Nahuatl for cypress) that has witnessed over two thousand years of history. The Zapotec people named it “the tree where life began,” its great trunk now wide enough to embrace 30 people at once. Dos Mil Años opens with bright grapefruit interwoven with cypress and cardamom – evoking morning mist around the tree’s massive trunk. The heart reveals warming spices of nutmeg and clove bud, complemented by roasted hazelnut and sustainable eucalyptus, representing the deep connection between earth and sky.
A scent that pays homage to Mexico’s dark fleshy fruits, drawing inspiration from centuries-old desserts. The Mayans understood the sacred power of these fruits – particularly Zapote (mamey), its flesh the colour of sunset, its seeds promising eternal cycles of renewal. At its heart, capulín cherries, the kind that stain the fingertips red, melt into a bed of earthy patchouli and frankincense.
Condensation sliding down a glass of suero, while restorative elements of Mexican lime and sea salt refresh the senses. Two sages—one cultivated, one wild—release their calming scents as temperatures rise. As day turns to evening, labdanum and fir balsam capture the lingering warmth, while amber and musk melt into the skin, Native ocote pine whispering from beyond concrete walls.
At the heart of EAUSO VERT lies a commitment to going further than simply causing ‘less harm’. Every formula is vegan, cruelty-free, EU-compliant, and made with non-GMO alcohol. Ingredients are biodegradable where possible, and the brand follows the strictest clean standards in beauty, including IFRA and Credo Clean. Many fragrances also feature upcycled botanicals – from turmeric leaf and root to rose essentials – giving new life to by-products of agriculture and reducing waste.
This forward-thinking approach extends to packaging. EAUSO VERT was the first fragrance house to introduce a fully compostable cap, crafted from natural wood with a patented cork interior system free of plastic or glue. Their bottles are made with recycled glass cullet and designed to be recyclable, reflecting a deep consideration for the entire product lifecycle. Sustainability is not an afterthought but an integral part of the brand’s DNA.
EAUSO VERT fragrances are created to be genderless, with a sleek visual identity that emphasises minimalism and craft. Each bottle and every material choice reflects the founders’ belief that fragrance should feel timeless, intentional, and inclusive. By stripping away unnecessary ornamentation, the brand highlights the true artistry of scent.
The collection showcases this ethos through distinct compositions. Dos Mil Años, inspired by ancient landscapes and the enduring resilience of nature, combines earthy resins, smoky woods, and mineral undertones to create a deeply atmospheric scent. Fruto Oscuro offers a darker, gourmand profile with rich fruits, patchouli, and incense, crafted by Rodrigo Flores-Roux. More recently, Salvia Salvia introduced a modern aquatic fougère with upcycled sage and mineral sea salt facets, capturing the essence of freshness with a sustainable twist. Each fragrance tells a story that bridges memory, place, and culture.
Today, EAUSO VERT has found its way into high-end retailers such as Bergdorf Goodman and Moda Operandi, while also winning recognition from award panels and the beauty press. Accolades such as Allure’s Best of Beauty award have cemented its reputation as a brand that balances luxury with responsibility.
