Created by Sir Kenneth Grange for Anglepoise®, the iconic Type 75™ desk lamp design has been reinterpreted by Paul Smith, the accomplished designer known for his mastery of colour.

Edition One fuses light and playful colours, evocative of summer, with the simplicity and functionality synonymous with Anglepoise desk lamps.

Edition Two combines rich, autumnal colours with Anglepoise functionality and form.

Edition Three celebrates the bold and striking colours of the De Stijl movement with iconic Anglepoise form.

Edition Four uses the quintessential countryside colours of Britain. With its deep, earthy, autumnal hues, combined with a dash of fluorescent yellow, Paul combines two British icons with his Land Rover colour palette and the distinct Anglepoise form.

Edition Five is a new creative approach with a full black colour drench – save for the dramatic stripe of colour.

Edition Six accompanies the all black Edition Five with its milk white finish and pastel graduated stripe – a softer take on the Edition Five’s bold, bright Artist Stripe and full black colour drench.

Design Director of Anglepoise since 2003, Sir Kenneth Grange began his illustrious career as a technical illustrator whilst in National Service. He subsequently made his reputation as an industrial product designer and in association with four partners founded Pentagram, now an international design practice with offices in USA, Germany and London.

Paul Smith is Britain’s foremost designer. He is renowned for his creative aesthetic, which combines tradition and modernity. Reaffirming the values that Paul set down in 1970, ‘classic with a twist’ remains the guiding principle of the company.
