The Yuzu Notebook features 156 pages of sustainable 130 gsm ivory paper. Exposed binding offers a minimal aesthetic while allowing the book to open completely flat on every page. Finished with a 1.5 mm recycled board cover available in eight signature Pith® colours.
PAPER
Our Notebooks are made with off-white, acid-free paper with a smooth uncoated surface. Suitable for sketching to note-taking, using a variety of materials from fountain pens to pencils, at 130 gsm, it resists bleeding and feathering.
BINDING
Our books are section sewn and glued by hand using water-based PVA. We leave our binding exposed as this technique provides maximum flexibility, allowing the book to open completely flat on every single page.

MEET THE MAKER

Pith Supply

From the very beginning, co-founders Andrew Hardie and Liam Goward committed to producing the highest quality creative stationery with minimal environmental impact. All of Pith’s products are conceptualised, developed, manufactured and finished by hand under one roof in their beach-side factory in Northumberland, UK.

Established in 2020, Liam, a designer and Andrew, a printer, were seeking a deeper connection with the materials used to create. Focusing on functionality, quality and sustainable materials to form the essence of stationery. Pith works with graphic designers, illustrators and artists who possess integrity, imagination and a deep commitment to their surroundings. These are the core values of the Pith brand.

Sustainability is an end-to-end consideration for the team at Pith. They take great care in their supply chain to maintain sustainability. Environmental factors are the basis of the design, manufacture and packaging of Pith products. The machinery at Pith’s factory are run on renewable energy, and all manufacturing waste is reused or recycled.

Obviously, zero environmental impact is a challenge, but that is the goal that we will always strive for. We do not claim to be perfect, but by listening, researching new approaches to development, and holding ourselves accountable to our customers and the environment, we continue to make progress in all areas of our business.
— Andrew Hardie & Liam Goward, co-founders
