Versatile
Versatile Paris is a niche fragrance brand founded by Coralie Frébourg in Paris. After graduating from the École Supérieure du Parfum in Paris in 2019, Coralie found herself torn between pursuing a traditional career in luxury marketing or creating her own brand to pour herself into. Just two months after deciding to go her own way, Versatile was born in March 2021.
Versatile partnered with perfumers Amélie Bourgeois, Anne-Sophie Behaghel, Camille Chemardin and Elia Chiche, who were tasked with crafting unique fragrances that were simpler, more sensorial, and transparent — redefining luxury in a way that was both powerful and accessible. Versatile formulations contain no more than 47 ingredients, alcohol-free bases made of natural oils, and all ingredients are revealed clearly to consumers. By October 2021, Versatile launched its debut collection of five Extraits de Parfum, each inspired by moments in life, and the journey had truly begun.
Fast forward to 2023, and Versatile has become a recognised name in the fragrance world, featured in renowned publications like Vogue, Elle, Forbes, and Marie Claire. With over 30,000 fragrances sold across 200 retailers in 30 countries, the brand has grown, expanding the fragrance collection as well as introducing limited-edition candles.
Beyond their bold approach to formulation, Versatile is committed to ethical and sustainable practices. All products are vegan, cruelty-free, and manufactured locally in France to minimise environmental impact. Packaging is thoughtfully designed using recycled, upcycled, and recyclable materials, while avoiding plastic whenever possible. Versatile has pledged 3% of sales to the Ruban Rose charity in memory of Coralie’s late father, Professor Thierry Frébourg, who dedicated his life to genetics and cancer research.
Fuelling Versatile is not just Coralie’s expertise, but also the addition of her partner and co-founder Pierre, a digital and business strategist who officially joined the team in June 2023. Now, with an eye toward the future, Versatile is preparing to expand further still, and to continue to push the boundaries of the fragrance industry with its innovative, heartfelt approach to perfumery. name and packaging.
