Water catches light, but never keeps it. Bling Mul brings together an almost electric rush of yuzu and lime with the fresh, green character of Finnish birch wood. Ginger sharpens the brightness, while delicate florals, apricot and ambrette soften the composition as it settles on the skin. Fresh and luminous at first, Bling Mul becomes warmer, softer and more grounded over time.

Meet the Maker

Hetkinen

Based in Turku, Finland, Hetkinen was founded in 2018 by designer and former sales manager, Mona Isotupa. Mona defines herself as “ a mother of two children, feminist, vegetarian, animal and nature lover, ” as well as being an activist against deforestation. The company drives inspiration from the Finnish forests and trees. The design approach is careful and minimalist. Everything is made in harmony with the nature.

Hetkinen’s mission is to bring people closer to nature in their busy everyday lives via high-quality product innovations. All of Hetkinen’s products are gender-neutral, vegan, and manufactured in Finland at the company’s own factory.

Hetkinen uses Finnish pine heartwood for their jars and containers. It takes a pine tree 40 years to begin to produce heartwood, so it is used sparingly & respectfully, and as such, knots or stains in the wood are not discarded. Pine heartwood is used for it’s superior resistance to rot, antibacterial properties, and because it doesn’t absorb moisture.
