d’Annam
d’Annam is a fine fragrance house founded in 2023 in Vietnam, rooted deeply in the rich traditions of Asian culture. The fragrances are designed to inspire both calmness and delight, capturing the essence of the country’s natural beauty and heritage. Each fragrance created by d’Annam is the product of a respectful study of local customs and delicate nuances, transforming these elements into an artful sensory experience. By collaborating with local artists and partners, d’Annam ensures that every collection is a tribute to Vietnam’s cultural landscape, presented in the most authentic way.
At the heart of d’Annam is a dedication to artisanal craftsmanship that merges tradition with innovation. Founder, Nick Hoang, grew up in rural Vietnam, where he was enchanted by the scents that shaped his childhood – the lotus blossoms on quiet lakes, the fresh morning dew on rice paddies, and the sharp tang of lime leaves from his grandmother’s garden. These scents formed the foundation of his vision for d’Annam. As he traveled beyond Vietnam, he realised that while the world of fragrance was vast, it lacked the essence of his homeland, which sparked the creation of d’Annam’s first collection.
Chapter 1, d’Annam’s debut collection, is a love letter to Vietnam. Each of the nine fragrances is a personal and contemporary interpretation of Hoang’s heritage, crafted by local perfumers to echo the natural melodies of Vietnam’s landscapes. This collection marks the beginning of a dream to encapsulate the spirit of Vietnam, translating the country’s essence into an olfactory experience.
Sustainability is a cornerstone of d’Annam’s values. Every fragrance is meticulously crafted in small batches, using the finest natural ingredients sourced from around the world. The brand is committed to eco-conscious practices, with packaging that is 100% recyclable. Each perfume bottle is encased in a simple, unbranded paper box, inviting creative reuse. d’Annam actively reduces its environmental impact by choosing recycled materials and eliminating plastic from its packaging process wherever possible.
In addition to producing powerfully transportive fragrance, d’Annam is dedicated to giving back to the community.
