Made by Eren Armitage (Harrogate, UK)
This stoneware tall jug is finished in Sand, a warm, natural glaze with soft tonal variation that enhances the earthy character of the clay. Hand-thrown and fired at 1230ºC, the surface has a quiet, grounded quality. The interior is fully glazed, making it suitable for water, milk, or fresh flowers.
Its elongated form and balanced handle create a clean, considered silhouette — functional on the table yet sculptural enough to stand alone.
Inspired by the rugged landscapes of the Yorkshire Dales and North York Moors, the jug reflects a subtle dialogue between Japanese ceramic tradition and the organic textures of the countryside.
Each piece is handmade, with gentle variations in glaze and form that make every jug unique.
