The quiet power of smoke and stillness. Ember, resin, the silence after a flame. The smoky scent profile reflects the meditative calm of Finnish smoke saunas and ancient incense rituals. Each perfume, candle and diffuser carries the feeling of fire transformed, creating an introspective atmosphere. Smoke softens edges. It asks you to slow down, to be present. Subtle, spiritual, profoundly calming.

Ingredients

Chamomile

Soft, herbal, and comforting. The gentle scent of wild blossoms carries notes of hay and honeyed warmth. Chamomile calms the mind and eases the body, bringing a feeling of peaceful balance.

Myrrh

Deep, warm, and meditative. The resinous aroma blends earthy richness with a hint of sweetness. Myrrh centres the mind and spirit, creating a sense of calm reflection and timeless stillness.

Ambrette

Soft, musky, subtly floral. Warm, slightly sweet undertones with delicate fruitiness and a hint of powdery elegance. Ambrette is full of sensuality and balance, rooted in botanical origin.

MEET THE MAKER

Hetkinen

Based in Turku, Finland, Hetkinen was founded in 2018 by designer and former sales manager, Mona Isotupa. Mona defines herself as “a mother of two children, feminist, vegetarian, animal and nature lover,” as well as being an activist against deforestation. The company drives inspiration from the Finnish forests and trees. The design approach is careful and minimalist. Everything is made in harmony with the nature.

Hetkinen’s mission is to bring people closer to nature in their busy everyday lives via high-quality product innovations. All of Hetkinen’s products are gender-neutral, vegan, and manufactured in Finland at the company’s own factory.

Hetkinen uses Finnish pine heartwood for their jars and containers. It takes a pine tree 40 years to begin to produce heartwood, so it is used sparingly & respectfully, and as such, knots or stains in the wood are not discarded. Pine heartwood is used for it’s superior resistance to rot, antibacterial properties, and because it doesn’t absorb moisture.
