Los Nogales does decaf a little differently. This Caturra is grown, processed and decaffeinated at the farm in Pitalito, giving Oscar Hernandez and his team control over the coffee from cherry to finished decaf. It’s bright and sweet, with starfruit, agave and rosemary. A decaf we’d happily drink whether we were looking for one or not.

Due to the decaffeination process, the beans may have an unusual colour. This is completely normal and does not affect the quality of the coffee.

Meet the Brand

Dak Coffee Roasters

Dak Coffee Roasters was founded by Louis-Philippe Boucher & Veronique Lagarde in 2019. Originally from Montreal, Canada, the duo roamed around Europe for more than 8 years before settling in Amsterdam where they founded the roastery. Dak means "roof" in Danish, and it was a moment in 2019 when Louis-Philippe was sitting on the roof of his home, drinking coffee when he decided to start his own roastery. Dak now consists of a team of fourteen.

“Coffee has always been part of our lives, although our love for specialty coffee has grown exponentially in the past few years. After working many years respectively in Finance & Marketing, we decided to pursue our dream, opening a coffee roastery. Dak was born from true passion for coffee and the desire to embark on a journey of endless discoveries."

“We select our coffees based on their unique tasting profiles and of course that are 100% fully traceable. We partner with importers that share our values and we roast each one of our coffees carefully to bring the best flavours they have to offer.”
—Louis-Philippe & Veronique, founders
