Cleo Gordon doesn’t belong but she sees no way out. Imaginary Authors was founded by Josh Meyer in Portland, Oregon, after he quite his job in real estate to pursue niche perfumery in 2012. The fragrance house formulate wildly unique fragrances born from the concept of scent as art and art as provocation. Like a good book, these scents are designed to inspire.

Each bottle houses a layered narrative that are sure to generate stirring conversation, and perhaps even change the course of your own personal story. They not only invigorate and intoxicate, but also take the wearer to new places. Each Imaginary Authors fragrance follows a compelling storyline peppered with intriguing twists. Every scent comes with its own fictional synopsis, but it’s left to the wearer bring the story to life.

Imaginary Authors’ fragrances are composed using a harmonious blend of essential oils, absolutes, isolated molecules, safe synthetic molecules and resins. Free of parabens and phthalates, they abstain from animal testing and are entirely vegan. Designed to be worn by anyone and everyone, their fragrances are genderless.

Imaginary Authors passionately believes that creativity is the best tool we have to solve systemic problems in an industry, a community, and the world at large.
